Gifts to Friends of Business are used to help students who are studying within the business major.

Friends of Computer Systems and Software Engineering

Gifts to Friends of Computer Systems and Software Engineering (CSSE) are used to help students who are studying within the CSSE major.

Friends of International Program

The International Fund was established to provide financial assistance to currently enrolled students at Valley City State University from Spanish speaking countries. Students needing assistance must apply to Dina Petherbridge, Director of Spanish Program at VCSU.

Friends of Library

Gifts to Friends of the Library are utilized to update library resources as well as provide scholarships to students enrolled in library education programs.

Friends of Medicine Wheel

The Medicine Wheel Park represents an excellent example of how a low-budget classroom, student, and community project can lead to economic development by encouraging regional tourism. Friends of the Medicine Wheel was established to assist in the development of this unique park. Visit the Medicine Wheel web site.

Friends of Music

The Valley City State University Music Department musicians present over 50 performances annually for the campus and community. Vocal and instrumental groups include the Concert Choir, University Singers, Concert Band, Pep Band, Jazz Ensemble, Valkyries, Brass Quintet, Woodwind Trio, Sax Quartet and the Percussion Ensemble. Financial support to the Friends of Music is utilized for scholarships for music students to enhance the Music Department.

Friends of Planetarium

The VCSU Planetarium offers a free monthly planetarium show to the public, and upon reservation, presents programs for visiting groups. Beyond community outreach, the planetarium also provides a unique opportunity for VCSU students to practice real-world skills in writing, producing, and presenting educational programming. Gifts to the Friends of the Planetarium help ensure that we can maintain the facility and continue offering this opportunity to students and outreach to the public. President's House Preservation Society

The mission of the President's House Preservation Society is to preserve, manage and utilize the Valley City State University's President's House. Gifts and donations will be used for the preservation of this wonderful old house and towards making it handicapped accessible. Your gift to the President's House will help us ensure it is available to the public for events and also to provide a comfortable place for alumni and other visitors to stay while on campus.

Friends of Theatre

Theatre 320, located on the third floor of McFarland Hall, is the home of theatre at VCSU. Students with all levels of interest and abilities work together to make the magic of theatre come alive. Different plays are produced each semester and students may act or work on props, set construction, technical work, publicity, costuming, etc. in each production. Gifts to Friends of Music are used to enhance the Drama Department.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)/Campus Crusade for Christ - CRU

VCSU students involved in this organization lead or participate in weekly meetings or Bible studies with opportunities for Spiritual growth. Sacrifice of Praise, a Christian outreach ministry and praise team that has led worship services at many area churches, is also aligned with the VCSU FCA/CRU. Gifts to this student led group help to support Bible study resource materials, the group’s ability to host special events, and opportunities for VCSU students to attend retreats with FCA or CRU students from other college campuses.
